Have a SCT XCal2 ?

I just got my tuner in the mail from MT and I read the instructions. It said to pull out the two fuses. I cant remember which ones they said but I dont have a manuel for my car so I was wondering which fuses to pull. I know where the fuse box is and everything, but its not labeled so I could use a little help if any guys can take pics or let me know which fuses I need to pull out. Also, is this really necessary? Any help is appreciated

Yeah I have an x cal 2 and i never pull the fuses, its not neccesary, dont worry about it, just make sure your car is off

I never pull fuses. Only if your battery is weak is when you should pull em is what an SCT guy told me.

incase you really want to know . . .

its the fuel pump and the electric fan

and they should be the 2 big ones closest to the driver side fender. (rectangular ones not square)

i pull them, just because the directions say so. I dont like taking chances when it comes to electrics (one thing im horrible at fixing)

When I had my diablo and superchip tuner I always pulled the fuel pump. But on mine the fuel pump fuse is one of the small ones.

On my '03 the fuel and fan were the two fuses closest to the block. One was the large red 50 amp and the other was a small yellow 20 amp. Above is a diagram. I pull them just because. No sense in screwing things up. I'd like to call SCT and double check if it is really necessary to pull them, but for right now I'd rather not take the chance on something so easy. Pulling the fuses takes about as long as letting out a fart. If a fart is worth your time...shouldn't pulling the fuses?

As easy as a Fart...thats a new one. If you can fart this easy you need to get your bowels checked lol.

Some people can do it on command...!

The link above is from another forum regarding the same topic. If the only concern is battery drain then I am going to give reflashing a shot with the fuses in.

I guess farting isn't worth my time! :shifty:

Battery drain shouldnt even be any concern. When its plugged in, your fan will turn on the entire time of the uploading and storing of your stock computer tune which is mabye a 2 minute period.
