05/06 owners - prop rod

Has anyone replaced their prop rod with hinges?
If yes, where did you get them?

prop rod... like the thing that hold the hood open?

my brother has an 06 GT and he put those on there, he paid about 60 for them, works great except the hood doesnt go up as far as he thought
