What octane should my car be using stock with no tune?

just 87 or use higher or no point since im stock?

((2000 gt auto...))

There is ZERO reason for you to switch octanes unless you are pinging or you are tuned for the change.

ok, just thought id ask...cause i was with some friends last night and there like "feed the beast some 93 or atleast 89" im like, wuts the point? and i forgot wut they said after that. but i put in 87.

Yeah, you could actually run crappier with 93 octane if you don't have the tuner or advanced your timing or chip. The higher the octane the harder to combust. which = waste of money.
