Default Something a little quieter

I want to switch cat-backs. I like the slp lm I have now, but I want to switch to something a little quieter. What can I go with that will sound good with my setup and not be annoying when cruising on the highway? Thanks.

I got the LM when it first came out, so the resonators are welded in place.

You could still have it done though.

Yea, I suppose. About how much would it cost to have the old ones taken off and new ones welded in?

Youll want to get a chambered muffler for the quietest opperation. Bullets are going to be the loudest.

I have a XLerator catback on mine which was on the car when I bought it. Its fairly quiet, loudens up on acceleration, and gets pretty loud at WOT. Now that I have BBK headers and an SLP Xpipe, the car just screams!

Magnaflow and flowmaster are relatively the same as far as loudness. SLP is usually louder hence the LOUDMOUTH name.

Yea, I have to agree with Matt. I had flows before the magnaflows, and when I switched, they were a lot quieter, but over time, I am pretty sure Im right back to where I was. Just a different tone. If I were you, Id get some loudmouth 2 mufflers welded in. They sound pretty good.

I had LM1 and they were welded in too...I bought some flowmaster super 40s just the mufflers (wanted original 40's but couldnt find them)

took the mufflers to Meineky (sp?) the cut out the old resonators...and welded in the Flows...took about an hour and cost me 80 bucks..so worth it!

I love the sound now, sounds like a real musclecar! it's alot quieter too
