Default Hood pins??

I am currently saving up for a 1998 Cobra R 3 1/2 inch cowl hood for my 97 GT...Do you guys think it would look stupid if i was to get the chrome hood pins?? I know its not needed, but I think it would look pretty cool. If so, do you know where I can get some at?? I saw the ones at mustang tuning, but they look too cheesy to me, with the wire connecting it. I dont like that...let me know guys

I would think you want to make sure you get stainless steel, I would be willing to bet a pure metal with chrome finish would rust over time...

I got the FRRP pin's.Yes I love them.Mine were installed by a custom shop. They had to do some creative work but it was because the hood was so thick.I would'nt recommend doing it yourself unless you have had expirence doing them before.

I have these hood pins http://www.steeda.com/store/-catalog/480-3037.htm , They are stainless and dont have a pin and wires to worry about. Any aftermarket hood should have one as this might happen http://videos.streetfire.net/player....D-9F09396D8627

I installed my hood pins by removing the hood bump stop and installing the pins there, then you put something on tip of the pins to mark the underside of the hood, drill where you see the marks, then scre down the plate that goes ontop of the hood, i prefer the ones with the lanyard, it keeps the quick release right there so you don't loose it.

Don't the wires scratch up the paint?

only reason i used mine is because when i lived in florida, if you didn't have the pins attached to the car somehow, you might end up missing one, happend to 2 of my friends, some people can't keep their F'ing hands to themselves.
