Tuner ?s

In the searching forums I found the computer code is on the door jamb and the comp box itself. In another post I found it is located in the enging bay? Is this my comp code? ptp2
Also I think I'm gonna get 2 tunes. 1. 91 octane tune, 4:10 adjustment, + adjustment for all mods. 2. 91 octane tune, 4:10 adjustment, adjustment for all mods, + shift point adjustment. (does anyone know if I can get a medium grade shift point adjustment? I have read that the performance grade is too hard on the tranny without running a tranny cooler.) Does this sound ok?, any feedback is appreciated. I know most of you get a 93 octane tune but there aren't any gas stations in this town that sell it, the most they have is 91. |
bueller? anyone?

Get a tranny cooler. It is a really cheap mod and will help extend the life of the tranny a ton.
You should have an 87 octane tune incase you get stuck. Although, you could always go back to stock. |
assuming yours is an auto...
on my auto sixer i am running a shift point adjustment and its not hard on the tranny at all...trust me, i talked to them and they said it wont hurt the tranny and my shifts might be the performance one but i dont know...they are pretty hard...it makes me patch from 1st to 2nd!!! and i would like keep the stock tune as well for daily driving!! and then a crazy one for the track or whatever u do |
