Default forums for different regions

first off i'm really diggin MT, i used to be a member at fullsizebronco.com which uses the exact format for the forums, so i'm very familiar with it already. but i must say one thing i miss about fullsizebronco.com is we had a section of the forums that was divided into regions of the US. There was the Dixie chapter, Mountain States chapter, West chapter, and Eastern chapters. i dont quite remember all of them off of my head, but each chapter had like 6 states in it. my chapter, the Mountain States, included Utah,. Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, and the like. having these chapters was cool cause it was easy for locals to contact each other and make dates for rides and meetings. how about checking out fullsizebronco.com, see what i mean, and adding a forum for regions of the US? just a idea. love the site.

I just dont know how much participation you would get. Especially with the low(relatively) amount of members that actually use our forums.

Adam:

Thanks for the suggestion. For the moment, we are trying to limit the number of forums rather than expand. You will actually see a few going away over the next week or so. The reason is that some of the forums while a good idea in the beginning, don't get a lot of activity. The owner of MT has asked us to limit the number of forums to avoid having areas of lack-luster activity.

Thanks.
