Default Saleen Opinion

Aight guys. The front piece of my saleen kit is cracked and such, it is fiberglass since thats what the previous owner installed. I was gonna replace it with urethane but this would cost about 700 dollars after paint/install. Or I could fix the current fiberglass for about 250 dollars.

Wellll... I found this front bra for the Saleen's. I could do this nd basically cover up the entire front. I dont really like the bras, but after looking at it I kinda like it. It's different, especially on Saleen.

It's the first item on the list.

it would look better on a black car IMO but you should probobly save up because if you fix it it might happen again

I don't like any car bra, so what ever you do don't get that. I think you should save up the money for the urethane bumper, because in the long run it may end up saveing you money.

I kinda liked it for the reason of it being different. I'm definately re-doing my rear and side skirts for 500 dollars and keeping fiberglass. Then I'm either fixing the front or maybe getting urethane. If I get fiberglass however, then I'm gonna try and save for a Saleen blower.

I know U have the saleen but you could change it to the Roush front end for that same 700 bucks, probably less...Dunno that could be one option...

The bra kinda defeats the purpose of having a new front bumper IMO

I would do the bra instead of fixing the bumper. And the roushe front would be pointless when my car is a full saleen kit, with the decals and everything.
Also I've seen the roushe front for 700+ bux since it came with the brackets and foglights, etc. That's before paint also.

Taking the easy way out ALWAYS comes back and bites you in the ***. If I were you I'd save up for a urethane one and try to ignore the damage until you got the new one.

I saw an 03-04 Roush with a bra, it killed it. Those things don't do anything for it. Keep away from 'em.

Do NOT cheap out and put on another fiberglass front. Think about it, spend the money on urethane now, and not have to worry about it anymore, OR spend 250 now, a month or so later, hit a curb, spend another 250...the cycle continues. and do NOT put a bra on the car.

A kid I know has the urethane 00 Cobra R bumper and he hit a cat at around 40 mph and busted the hell out of it.Yes it would have been worse if it was fiberglass but maybe not.

You just gotta go to a body shop place that knows how to prep and paint a fiberglass kit... a lot of the half-assed shops give you half-assed jobs.

I never had a problem with mine, but its already been said so, you know.

No way in hell would I buy another Fiberglass piece. I'm saying I can FIX my current front and have it be as good as new. Fiberglass is by no means as good as Urethane, but the correct preparation and painting with fiberglass can definately help immensely. There is a top of the line WELL known shop in my area that are professionals in every mean of the word with fiberglass. This is why the choice is difficult for me to fix the front or get a new urethane. I DID NOT put on this kit to begin with. I bought the car with the kit and damage already done to it. So i cant really get a good idea of how well it holds up when taken the correct care of. I wash my car once a week in spring, summer, fall. And detail it with detail spray twice a week. I take extremely good care of my car, and I am as well a good driver.
