Default SMASHED bumper!!!

Well I am joing the smash your Mustang Club. Spent 2 hours Friday cleaning the car and polishing the wheels for a first time date with a girl. Headed to a movie after eating at a nice restaurant and BAM!! Stupid animal in the road. Don't know what the hell it was but it made a little mark on my car. GRRR!!! :wallbash:

It was foggy and looked the size of a big Opossum but hell I don't know anymore. I drove by the spot on my way to work this morning and all I saw in the area was a dead rabbit but there is NO way a rabbit could have done that...and if it was anything other than an animal I would think the paint would have come off. And yes it is amazing the chin spoiler held up. It has a crack in the area that mounts to the bumper but nothing you could see if it was back on.

Are you out of your mind? There's no way some small animal did that to your car unless it weighed about 100lbs and was hard as a rock. Hell, the 300+ pound deer I hit going 45 a while back didn't even do that much damage to my stang. And it went FLYING.

To answer all your questions lol..

I was going 40-45 mph.

Yes it was a small animal. It was on all fours unless it was a kid in the road haha. It wasn't as large as you would think.

They are the push pins on the spoiler.

I looked under the car and there is no animal left.

When I looked under I actually noticed that my lower radiator support is also bent.

If you look at the bumper by the wheel, it is actually bent out also.

I will try to pop it out once I get the check from the insurance. I want it to be just like that when I go Wednesday for the estimate. I already stopped by a body shop today and the estimate was $798.

I am also amazed at how the bumper bent in like that. I was expecting it to be shattered. Oh and the new bumper most likely will not need a chin spoiler
