SMASHED bumper!!!

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y10...nknee/Car3.jpg

Well I am joing the smash your Mustang Club. Spent 2 hours Friday cleaning the car and polishing the wheels for a first time date with a girl. Headed to a movie after eating at a nice restaurant and BAM!! Stupid animal in the road. Don't know what the hell it was but it made a little mark on my car. GRRR!!! :wallbash:

MattJ 01-30-2006 07:01 AM

Hey, thats not that bad. You can buff that right out... good as new.

dsdaddy 01-30-2006 07:04 AM

**** that sucks
hope u still got some ass from the date

Milos 01-30-2006 08:01 AM

was it a brick? what small animal causes that much of a hit? I took my car 20 mph into a 6 inch wide tree and it didn't kick in that much... woo

Shambles 01-30-2006 08:03 AM

Yeouch, that hurts.

foncarelli 01-30-2006 08:09 AM

Amazing, the chin spoiler is still in perfect shape.

Slither 01-30-2006 10:00 AM

It was foggy and looked the size of a big Opossum but hell I don't know anymore. I drove by the spot on my way to work this morning and all I saw in the area was a dead rabbit but there is NO way a rabbit could have done that...and if it was anything other than an animal I would think the paint would have come off. And yes it is amazing the chin spoiler held up. It has a crack in the area that mounts to the bumper but nothing you could see if it was back on.

SpinMedia 01-30-2006 02:42 PM

dude no lie, im amazed on how your bumper dented, When i crashed my bumper it shattered into like a trillion pieces, like if my bumper was made out of window glass.

Aint that incredible?

I saw that and thought "wow, the chinspoiler is totally unscathed!"

Gotta wonder if the animal got sucked up by the spoilerr and went through the bumper.

Anyways. Bummer dude. Could be worse though, at least you diddnt hit a moose going 75mph. Whole care woulda been destroyed. And the moose might have felt it!

Lances03SVT 01-30-2006 02:48 PM

Damn that sucks dude!!

Now people see why the chin spoiler has the breakaway screws!!

Uhh.... i dont.... i mean, you think there would have been more damage if the chin spoiler was bolted on? I dont see how. i think the chin spoiler woulda bent. now it just looks silly.

Lances03SVT 01-30-2006 02:54 PM

Well maybe your right ::p LOL

4.6 Love 01-30-2006 03:12 PM

GREG@94GT 01-30-2006 04:32 PM

venom 01-30-2006 05:19 PM

Are those the push pins on the chin?

bikerjoe 01-30-2006 05:32 PM

wow looks like your stang came with a cliff lip...

i think thats how its called lol

CCM 01-30-2006 07:11 PM

Are you out of your mind? There's no way some small animal did that to your car unless it weighed about 100lbs and was hard as a rock. Hell, the 300+ pound deer I hit going 45 a while back didn't even do that much damage to my stang. And it went FLYING.

I bet a 25lb animal could do that if yer doing 40+

I mean come on dude, it is the bottom of the front bumper, its flexable and there is not much support in that area.

Tell ya what, get a 25lb ham hit it at 40mph, i bet you would get the same damage.

Jack The Ripper 01-30-2006 07:14 PM

Hey so have you tried popping it out?

Slither 01-30-2006 09:22 PM

To answer all your questions lol..

I was going 40-45 mph.

Yes it was a small animal. It was on all fours unless it was a kid in the road haha. It wasn't as large as you would think.

They are the push pins on the spoiler.

I looked under the car and there is no animal left.

When I looked under I actually noticed that my lower radiator support is also bent.

If you look at the bumper by the wheel, it is actually bent out also.

I will try to pop it out once I get the check from the insurance. I want it to be just like that when I go Wednesday for the estimate. I already stopped by a body shop today and the estimate was $798.

I am also amazed at how the bumper bent in like that. I was expecting it to be shattered. Oh and the new bumper most likely will not need a chin spoiler :devil2:
