Default Finally

Well, I am new to the forums and I have a 02 gt, 5 speed. As of now I have a set of mac flowpaths that sound bad a**, a k&n drop in filter, and a steeda short throw shifter. My first real mod will be here tomorrow. I have a set of motive 4.10's coming with the master bearing kit. I have searched the forums through and through to decide on what gears to get. I was torn between the 4.10's and the 3.90's. Apparently, I have decided not to fear the gear and go with the 4.10's. I will be getting them installed tomorrow; I can't wait.

I didn't mean an exhaust was not a mod but I am referring to a serious go fast mod like 4.10's. I have not thought twice of my exhaust. I love it and I get compliments on it all of the time.

I am just counting down the hours. I have heard so much about them and I have never been in a stang that actually had 4.10's, so I am a bit anxious. All of my other friends that have stangs are heavy with the bottle; I just want to have some fun on the motor. I just figured if I am gonna spend the money I should go ahead and get the 4.10's instead of the 3.90's. I would hate to question myself about it later. I am just lost now as to what mod I should invest in next. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a midpipe or just that MAC catback?

It is the MAC catback. I purchased it from someone I knew and it was only used for like three months before they sold the car.

Mid-pipe is definitely on your next to do list. Gears is great but after you combine a midpipe with that catback you'll get some good HP gains. Might I suggest a MAC off-road prochamber it sounds great with your catback.

Well, we ran into some time conflicts friday so I will be getting my gears put in tomorrow. It has been a long weekend but finally the wait is over. I will be dropping it off before I go to work and picking it up as soon as I get off.

I finally got the gears in the car and I must say they make the car feel like a different car. It pulls much harder through the gears and driving on the street is incredible. The car seems to stay in the powerband and makes city driving so easy. The acceleration is great and I am very happy with this mod. For all those who were like me and debating which gear to get, get the 4.10. I mean it is definitly not too much gear for the highway and it makes driving so much more fun.
