Default Taking out honeycomb in side scoops

I know the side scoops are fake, and so does the rest of the world. Even most people who know nothing about stangs. But the honeycomb cover on them just TRIES to make it look fake. If I removed it, would there be more surface under it or would it be basically a hole, which would almost look real? kinda like here

Nah there is nothing good under those plastic inserts... I would leave them on unless you buy completely different scoops.

I'm assuming it'll look like when I removed my 40th anniversary edition emblems from my fenders. Oddly enough they were stickers, no screws or mounting hardware. I wanted nothing on my V6's fender but the emblems had big holes underneath them... So I covered them with the less ugly 232 badging.

The other thing you could do it get them either painted black so they're glossy, or get the chrome inserts...
