So gay...

Well today I was speeding a bit (about 60 over speed limit in a 45MPH road) and some old lady talking on her cell phone got into my lane and cut me off so I had to slam on the brakes really hard to a point that my brakes were locking up, No i didn't crash into her because I am a professional when it comes to teh driving, but now my brakes are squeaking when i break at any speeds under 40mph, its really annoying, kindof sounds like when you hear really old cars next to you that are always squeaking, Does anyone know if this will go away or will I have to buy new brakes or whats the deal

What kind of pads are they? Agressive pads tend to squeak a bit. You might be down to the wear bars. Look at your pads and see if they are touching or near touching the rotors.

Maybe your pads are glazed since you got on them so hard. I'd try swapping them out and see if that helps.

I had a squeak that would not go away and I put some of the brake quiet stuff on the pads and got some sand paper and sanded the rotors,noise went away.
