What did you have them revalved as, and for what spring rate?

They were revalved for H&R SuperSports, which are fairly close to the spring rates I'm running.

Got the struts put on today, and they're awesome. The roads were wet, so I really couldn't get on it too much in the curves, but the ride quality over the Tokicos is great, and brake dive is non-existent now.

Tomorrow's mods: 30mm front swaybar, new bushings and endlinks. Maybe rack bushings if I get the time.

Sounds nice and it sounds like you're getting a lot done. Don't see very many people doing what they want to do. Money problems or whatever it is. I'm jealous.

I'm getting some stuff done, unfortunately, not as quickly as I'd like to because of money. Slowly but Surely, I'm getting the suspension done on it though, and then it'll be time for some brake mods, and then I can get into some horsepower.

The list of things I still need to get for the suspension:

Bumpsteer Kit
spherical bushings
4 Point K Member brace
Strut Tower Brace
Shock Tower Brace

And then this chapter can close.

I refuse to actually keep track of the money I spend on the car, because I really don't want to admit how much I've spent, but I know I have over $1800 in the suspension so far.

I do most of the work myself, but I did have someone do the panhard bar for me, because it was a little over what I can do in the garage.

I did get my new 30mm swaybar installed today, along with the new endlinks, poly bushings, and put new poly steering rack bushings in it as well.

To be honest with you, if you want to see some changes in your car, start doing suspension. Single parts are not that expensive, my swaybar and rack bushings cost me under $100 and made a huge difference in the way the car handles and drives. As long as you're doing something to the car, it keeps you hungry to do more.

Next up: Steeda X2 balljoints and front control arm bushings.

I couldn't tell a difference when I got the X2 ball joints in. I did quite a bit around the same time with the front suspension so if could have just been masked by the other things.

I don't expect to see any difference with the X2 balljoints, but I was checking mine out, and they looked pretty rough, and they weren't much more than stockers.

Where are you getting most of your information I come from mostly straight line and now have a bad itch to turn and stop.

I'm being guided by a local autocrosser/road racer. I would highly suggest if you want to turn and stop, get in good with one of them, and they're very helpful.

Sam Strano has also given me some advice, and I read a lot on corner carvers, although a lot of what's posted there is over my head, honestly.

If your listening to Sam and trying to understand the topics on C-C, then your going in the right direction. Thoes guys over at C-C are the cream of the crop and most have degrees and racing careers to back up the data they present on the fourm.

Well, I blew my budget for more suspension stuff.........

Picked up a set of VT Stage 2 cams from a local guy who was selling them......The deal was too good to pass up, so I'll put them away for a couple months until I can afford to do my heads along with them.

The only thing that I didn't go with that Sam recommended was the Koni Sports. When I got this deal on the Bilsteins, I couldn't pass it up, and he said they were awesome also, but he prefers adjustables. I'm so new to autocross though, sticking with Bilsteins is probably best for me until I understand what my car's doing, and what I can do to correct it.

I have not once to tell the difference between handling and not handling yet, it's kind of bugging me now. Weather my car is roughy or not, nothing bothers me, besides being slow of course. I'm also not into corners, curves, twisties, autocross ect.. I use my Sport Bike for that. I guess I'm all about straight way.
Is your car a Daily Driver?
If I can get this 2003 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra I will probably do the suspen since it's pushing 530 to the rear.

It's not officially my "daily driver", but if the weather's nice, I'm driving it. Typically 3-4 times a week, so it gets a lot of seat time. My drive to work is 45 minutes each way.

To be honest, I expected the ride to get harsh as I started upgrading the suspension, but to be honest, if anything it's gotten more comfortable. You can tell it's stiffer, but it's more controlled, and not as harsh as my car was stock.

Yeah that's a good thing. I find putting a lot of money into a Daily Driver a waste of money/time for some odd reason.
The thing I've noticed that bugs me is when you hit a bump or something, it's a rough/hard hit, like the suspenion is out or something. My mechanics firebird has stiff springs COMPLETELY. I didn't know and was going thru an intersection and well it hit hella hard (some intersections are like ditches, the middle is like a land). I was like :O WHAT THE...

How did you learn to do the work on the cars or just self learning/trying?

I was broke up until a couple years ago, so if I wanted a fast car, I had to do the work myself. I bought AllData a few years ago, which helps out a lot also. There's no guesswork involved, everything is laid out for you in the order you have to do it.

I've spent a lot of time in the past taking a bunch of stuff off for no reason to get to a part, just to figure it out later.

Mine used to jar you when you hit a sharp bump, but it's not that bad anymore. The Bilsteins helped smooth out the front a lot, and the panhard bar did wonders for the back. It's actually a very comfortable ride.
