I hate autocrossing in the rain. The first few times yeah, its fun to spin a little, but after that you just getting wet.

 

looks like fun. never autox'd in the rain before, seems like an interesting challenge though. My fav. part of autox racing is I can race top down though.

The new sti took second in pax time aswell which if you know what that means is crazy for an SM the guy is a crazy good driver

 

Even with the rain this was a really fun event and because of the rain some people didn't show up so everyone got to do 6 runs and then we did fun runs afterwords (dry)

I managed to improve my time all my runs but the last one which was a tenth slower than the run before it

I recommend autocross to anyone it's so much fun and there is really very little danger to your car if you maintain it well (except your tires)

No he was a fine driver the guy in the jetta was just better..... way better

 

Actually more people spun out after the track dried out

when it's wet your fronts can get traction and you just push you can't kick out the back end.

once the track dried out people had grip and when the back spun the front held

we had some wide sweeping corners that I was trying to swing around but the front wheels would just let loose and I'd push way out before I could get them to hold again. My best times came when I calmed down and took the big corners less aggresively I was able to hit the apex and keep traction the whole way through.
