Talking Son's 16th birthday present

Today is our son's 16th birthday and this is what he got:

It's a 92, with an 8 plug 4 cylinder from a T-bird. We have no idea how many miles on the motor but it's solid. It was originally red but has a horribly done black coat of paint, they painted over the dealer sticker!!! For $1000 we feel like we got a pretty good deal. At least the boy is happy.

very nice, it looks like he is really happy and appreciative which is a great thing to see when kids are given cars by their parents.

Thanks Everyone!!!
He is very appreciative and excited about getting started on the mods. As you can see from the pics there is plenty of room for improvment

It will be his DD to get to school and activities and a job if he can find one, they are sort of scarce right now and employers are not that motivated to work around school hours.

He is trying to think up a cool screen name to get signed on now but he's not real sure about being on the same forum as his mom. You know mom's aren't exactly cool to 16 year olds.

And if anybody gets a cobra, it will be me!!!

I think he needs parts from an SVO fox. I am assuming you can use turbo parts from one on this, which would be sweet!

It is usually easier to swap in a turbo coupe motor (forged internals, proper ECM, ect...) This was one of my first thoughts but a turbo 2.3 makes 300hp pretty easy and they are light cars. That might just be a little too much for a 16 or 17 yo. If he does, watch out mom he will be walking your s197 GT
