Default short ram air intake?

hey guys, I have been looking into purchasing one of the short ram air intakes off of american muscle and was wondering if there is going to be much of a peformance difference from the JLT to the cheaper american muscle brand short ram air? looking at $200 vs. $80 I mean i realize that neither of them is going to add much hp but every little bit helps lol i mostly want it for looks i think they look great under the hood, i will also be getting the SCT tuner off AM within the next 6 months so that should help out my small bolt ons as well any opinions would be great, thanks

you'll get minimal gains no matter. remember, you get what you pay for. personally i don't like a metal intake tube because metal heats up quicker then plastic, and heats up the air inside more. keep what you've got in now.

i say you save you money a little more, and work on something else on your list, like 3.73s.

If you want an intake, go JLT. It's a solid set-up and they look great!

You already have a K&N drop in filter it looks like from your mod list. So go outside and pull the intake silencer off the stock airbox and boom you have the same thing for free. Don't waste your money on them its not worth the cost. Plus you already have a highflowing filter so screw it and pull the silencer off and move on.
