Ok well im pretty pc savy, and im having trouble burning DVDs in 720p, Im pretty sure a DVD is like 4.7g and the 720p movie files are 4.6 so i was wondering what i could use to burn the DVD files....

When I download them I get them in big .rar and .PAR2 files and then get the coverted to .mkv's with autounpack.. since i normally stream to the PS3 I almost always convert them with mkv2vob software to make them .mpg files which are still 720p or 1080p I dont get any video loss, a little audio loss but nothing noticable...

so my main question is A. How (and which program) can I burn these 720p files and make multi disk movies (1080p) to were i dont have to decode them down to shitty 480p resolution so i can take them to my friends house and ****...

wait... are you trying to burn DVD's in 720p in a way you can play them on a DVD player?.... or just backup/store a file with 720p?

no DVD player will do 720p, DVD by its nature is 480p.

 

actually write DVD's, but if i burn a dvd in mkv with 720p my PS3 Should play it in 720p.

and even if a DVD is naturally 420p... what would be the best way to compress/decode a 720p into 480p, to lose the least amount of quality.

 

Well, if you're compressing it to 480p, you might as well just download standard dvds. They'll have the maximum quality at 480p.

 

no way, i still love to download 1080p files and stream them to the ps3, just need to be able to burn one if i go to someones house.
