In all seriousness here. Cats are notorious for climbing into engine bays to get warm. This little guy found it from the rear. LOL, at least he has eay access to escape once the engine fires up.
When I was a kid back in the 60's a cat made it's home in my moms Olds F-85 and when she cranked it up, Geez you never heard such a gruesome sound. Mom called a neighbor and he opened the hood and the poor cat jumped out alive, but he was missing a whole bunch of fur. Scarred me for life..

I knew a guy that started up his car and didn't know his cat was up in the engine. It ended up jumping out, but it lost a paw.
Kind of reminds me of when I used to work at an air conditioning company and the service techs would come back and tell me they found chopped up snakes/frogs/lizards in the condensors.
