All depends on the kind of tires you are running on.

Street tires = slip it out
Slicks = rev it sky high and dump it
Drag radials = a combination of the two

If you cant dump it at the start line you have to fix whatever the reason is, plain and simple. Most times its just a matter of tires, and dont be scared to do a burnout, youll waste more of your street tires spinning off the line then if you get them hot and take off like your suppose to from the line.

are you trying to say that you should never slip the clutch when launching on street tires? :disgust:

No, Im saying if you have to, then you need to get new tires, WAY too much time lost riding the clutch.

I found slipping the clucth worked out better for me. I run on street tires and spun them through 1st and 2nd when dumping the clutch. It could also of been the track i was at cause it is a crap *** track.

You do not want ot smoke the **** out of street tires it actuly makes them slippery. you only need to spin them for a few secs to get all the debri off them.

All you have to do is hold the brake and hit the gas at the same time. You then let off the brake untill the tires are smking but that your not moving forward.
