Hi, My 99 v6 automatic stang is going to need a trani-rebuild very soon. So I figured as long as I was getting that done I should just get a shift kit so the car shifts harder, and a new torque converter. first I was wondering if anyone could tell me what Kind of Tranny I have and if there is any good Shift Kit out there I should know about. I have heard of the J-Mod, but I hightly doubt my local transmission center has. thanks in advance!

 

nevermind. My new question is has anyone ever heard or put a Trans Go shift kit in?

 

i dont know what your plans are with this car so lets start there. Are you just going ot rebuild and daily drive it, or add some power liek nitrous turbos etc..?

Because if you are going ot add power this would be the time to get some good clutchs installed in the tranny at this time. You can wait till the cars done then go and do the j-mod yourself its not very hard at all to do.

 

or just swap it for a t-5
