Default Exhaust help.

I've been looking for a long time now for an aftermarket exhaust that has a diameter larger than 2.5". Does anyone out there make a 3"? And headers, none that I have found are 2", is that another thing of the past? The largest I've ben able to find is like, 1.625" I just want the largest diameter I can find for this air pump I'm building.

What do you mean air pump? Are they not for your car?

Alright, you were confusing me. Anyways, you dont need any exhaust that is larger then 2.5". Same goes for headers. Which is why you cant find those.

Flowmaster has a 3in setup but 2.5 is big enough with your setup. You need to be pushing some mad HP to consider 3in exhaust, atleast 500 or more to the wheels.

Yep you will lose power with a 3 inch pipe unless you are pushing some big power.

OK, now that you have set me straight there, when I look at cat-less X pipes, they seem to come in 2 lengths, (at least they look that way) long and short, after the X pipe, how can I tell which cat-back to get? I wish they would say this exhaust needs the shorter X pipe, or this exhaust needs the longer X pipe, or, am I missing a whole lot of what is being said in the adds? I'm just so damn confused right now. I'm not getting headers, so this should be easy! Another thing, is an H pipe better than a X pipe, and why?
I feel like such a dumb f--k!!
Thanx in advance for any help.

If you don't do headers then you need the regular X or H pipe not the shortie's.All the catbacks will fit that are for a GT.

I have an X pipe and love it.The difference is in the sound between an X and a H.An X pipe sounds better with a straight through or bullit style muffler like the LM's,Magnapack's and Stinger's while and H sound's better with say Flowmasters,Mac,or any chambered type system.
