Default Fit Check

im bout to buy these Fr500's deep dish of corse for the bak, i wanted to know if i COULD put
275-40-18 on the back and 245-40-18 on the front, or would it look better if they were 275-35-18 bak and 245-35-18 front? keep in mind i basically just want them to fit on my mustang without problems.
Thanx.

Your best combo would be 265/35/18 for the front and 295/35/18 for the rear.A 245 is way too small for the front and the 275 is Way to small for the rear!!

I have 265/35/18's and 285/35/18's and they fit perfect but I would like a wider rear tire!!

Not a dam thing! The 35 means that the side wall height is 35% of the width. But, since the tire is the back is wider, the the over tire and wheel height is about the same.

Lance gave you teh best advice. That is the way to go. Theose rims are 10 inches wide and you should get at least a 295 so they look at fit correctly.

so a 295 tire would be best right, but how come Grimmz here has this setup HERE ? he has the same exact rims i want to get and the same exact tires im looking into, and they seem to have fit fine and dont look bad...basically im going somewhat small because of my budget, i simply want to know IF the RIMS will fit into the tires im specifying (rear 275-35-18, front 245-40-18).
Thanx

They will work but if you ask Grimmz he will tell you to go bigger.

MT does have good prices but so does this place and i calculated like 600 bills delivered for 4 tires 285 35 18s rears and 245 40 18s for the front sumitumo htr zII heres a link to pricing and shipping also there warhouse is located in reno nevada, which is like hours from my location meaning they could ship fairly quickly. if u see that its cheaper at MT lemme know and ill gladly buy em from MT.

from seeing these tire sizes in person 275/40 is definately too small for the back. you might as well have bought 18x9's all around. i've seen 245's on the front and they look too small for the rim also. 265/35 and 285/35 18's is what i'm running and i wouldn't ever go with anything smaller. i would have liked the 295's in rear but i couldn't find any matching tires for the front so i stuck with 285's.

cough up the extra cash or wait until you have the extra cash, you will not regret it!
