Default Might buy a motorcycle, need help...

I was thinking about buying a used honda cbr or a yamaha r6 but i dont know to much about how long the engines normally last. It seems like a lot of people are getting rid of theirs at around 20000 miles. Is 34000 too many if most of it was just cruising? I really dont care if it has a lot of miles, just somethin to go back and forth to work in, i just dont want it to start falling apart as soon as i get it.

Well my bro has a 2001 GSXR that has 14,000 miles on it, he wants to get rid of it, i want to buy it but he said he doesn't want to sell it to me because it has too many miles, so im guessing 34,000 miles is a ton when talking about bikes..

34000 miles is alot when talking about bikes its like 85000 on a car ...but there isnt much that can go bad on a street bike thats been taken care of for al those miles just check the oil for water and debree make sure all the gears go in smoothly stand on the bike pres the front brake and move the bike back and forth to see if the main bearign in the steering head has play in it ...it shoulndt...

lets see what else...uhh make sure the tiers are not worn out uneveienly like one side more than the other makes sure the rotors arnt bent (like someone took off with a wheel lock on lol) you can check this by driveing and getting on the brakes and if you dont feel it pulsating your fine.

umm theres some more but if you have anymore questions just PM me ill be happy to answer them...good luck and be safe
