Welp..went to the track today with a best 14.214 @99MPH

My best 60' was a 2.2....but Im sure I could have done better if I had a few more runs in. Im still learning to launch with these Nitto Drag Radials.....so far im not impressed..... I guess I gotta really heat em up at the box!

ARG!!!!

With my mods I should be in the 13's easily.....RIGHT????:wallbash:

How long you heat them and at what PSI you running them at? Plus having deep dishes in the back really doesnt help.

nah..its not me....
Its the damn 3650 transmission to be honest. I swear, if my shifts werent so notchy/grindy then My times would be better. I think Im to carefull when shifting... I could shift alot faster if I didnt have to worry about it...cause one time I couldnt get it into 3rd easily and it grinded like a ****.. If the shifts were more smooth..then my times would be better.

so....I hate my tranny. not my car then.arg..:wallbash:

Unless his tranny is F'ed up then I dont see why he wouldnt like it.......The TR-3650 is MUCH better than the T-45. Its very durable though it can be notchy at times. Does the guy have a shifter? I suggest either the Pro 5.0 or the MGW to solve this problem.

It still sounds like more of a driver problem than a tranny problem to me. No offense, But I can shift mine just as fast as an automatic.........

Even your mph seems pretty low for those mods. Your 60' is holding a good 4tenths of your 1/4 mile time right there if you can get to atleast a 2.0 60'.

On a side note i like my 3650 it loves pwershifts and takes all of my abuse every day.

you should be @ 13.7 to 13.3.....
drop the presure in the tires... and shift faster..... that's y your mph is off....
i run any where from 103 to 106 in the 1/4 the 103 was after 4.10's and loss of second acceptin a shift from above 4500

Your #s are not that bad? you need to improve your 60ft for sure! you need to bring it down to atleast 1.9s That also depends on your Nittos! are they broken in? My tires didnt really start hookin till they wore down a bit. iam sure you will break into the 13s with just a fix of the 60ft times.

i had the same problem man....i have noticed this with a lot of people with the tr3650..i had the same problem and had the damn tranny rebuilt(thank god i still had my warranty)....anyways, it turned out to be my synchros or the shift rails..it was SOO hard to get into 3rd and it would grind everytime i shifted fast into it..hopefully you still have your warranty

I have a tri-ax and i like it...it's just a matter of preference and im pretty sure that his problem is his tranny, not his shifter..

If you cant hear the tires chirp on the 1-2 shift and sometimes on the 2-3 shift then you arent shifting fast enough. Your shifter has adjustable stops to protect the shift forks. This means that you can slam it into gear as hard as you want! Dont be scared......Give it hell!

It's def not the shifter. I also have one and it is fine. But I can compare with the sticking third. Done it once or twice. But do like the fellas said, throw that bitch in there.

I DID IT!!!!! I went to the strip again 2night. I got 6 runs in and on my last 3 runs I was in the mid-high 13's!!!!!!! My best was a 13.689 with a 2.0 60' @ 103 MPH.

I also did my longest burnout today succeesfully which really helped the Nittos stick. .. also.. my shifts were smoother than usuall and I was able to shift fast without hesitation. I think the royal purple Synchro max helped..as I changed the tranny fluid yesterday...

sorry if I seem to excited about this...I'm just excited that I finally broke the 13 second barrier.

oh..and I spanked a z28 ( I think he missed a shift) and had a nose to nose win against a evo with my best time...

You need to keep your foot on the gas while shifting!

A 2.2 with DR's is your biggest problem. 1.8/1.9 should be your goal with your setup. That would knock you to about a 13.7/13.8.

All you need to do is lower that 60 foot and 13's will be made all day long.

Congrat's on the 13 second slip. Nitto's need to be really hot and run about 18 lbs.
