Default How wide can I go?

I'm not sure what width my chrome rims are but they currently have 245/45/17 goodyears on it. I want to go with a wider and lower profile tire if I can. Any idea's?
Thanks

Dave

I would only go 265/40/17 all the way around. Some say 275 will fit, but I think it's pushing it.

315's Grimmz...the widest u can take it without spacers on our stangs

but thats kinda worthless...not bashin on sixers, since i own one...but we dont make enough power to use 315's...i would just keep it at 275 unless ur plannin on blowin it or something

Theres only about 2 tires in a 315/30/18. One is he BFG DR and the other is Michlenin Pilot Sports series. Wellllllll there 400 bux per tire in that size. lol

You should check out Tirerack.com they have all the necessary rim wids for tire sizes listed in the "spec" portion of each tire overview. 275 usually nees at last 9" rims for proper tire bead seal and wear.
