somthing is wrong here......

what do you guys think ...i took it to this shop that i herd is cheap ...50 bucks for 3 pulls ...sounds good but now that i went and did my pulls i have a really bad feeling that the dyno is off.....

not trying to be a dick about my car not having power but cmon tell me what you think

N/A with my mods

225 hp
275 tq

nitrous

300hp
400tq

thats with tb plenum kand n filter offroad xpipe flowmaster muffs.
diablo "performance tune"

also i have 4.10s but i douubt they would hurt my numbers that much...

im sparying a 100 shot with a nx wet plate kit ....

think im a loser with low numbers or is this dyno off??

i do have a friend with a stock o3 cobra and i pull on him all day with my nitrous..so whats up with this???

zigzaggthefag321 08-25-2006 09:13 AM

looks a bit low to me...my car did 245 and 285 RWHP/RWTQ with my mods...I used to have them listed in my sig but they took up too much room once I got my lame sig pic. My mods are nothing major...CAI, TB, Plenum, Xcal Tune...as far as the engine goes.

bikerjoe 08-25-2006 09:18 AM

i would have been happy with 245hp 285 tq

but 225 and 275 cmon those are stock numbers...plus the nitrous ones are really loower than i thougt

zigzaggthefag321 08-25-2006 09:20 AM

yeah I bet the dyno was off. When I did my pulls it was almost 100 degrees and humid as crap outside so my #'s may have been better if it had been cool and dry out.

need more information.. can you scan the dyno sheet?

do you know if it was a mustang dyno or a dynojet? and were your numbers SAE corrected?

r3dn3ck 08-25-2006 09:44 AM

those numbers are entirely within reason.

Betting that you use a wet kit for the giggle gas, I would check your AF on the nitrous runs. I'll bet you're running too rich on the fuel jet. You would probably want to drop .05 from the jet orifice size. Leave the nitrous jet the way it is and check the AF again.

Other than that, I've seen hundreds of dyno runs by new edge cars with bolt ons just like yours and they all put down within 15hp of your car. It's not the strongest I've seen but it's not weak.

You're pulling on your cobra driving friend because your torque is super high on nitrous and you don't have to spin a blower to make that power so there's more free power. This is the reason I started with my 5.4L swap... more tq means mo' bettuh pulling power.

its an awd dyno dunno what kind and its rollers are magnetically held back....like instead of brakes or water in some..dunno if that helps someone find out what type it is lol

bikerjoe 08-25-2006 12:44 PM

i did see him putting in some numbers before he started and he put in one field that the car weighed 4000lbs.....could this be the culprit

r3dn3ck 08-25-2006 02:44 PM

no. Your car only makes within 10% of the figures you got off the dyno and you're in need of a better nitrous tune. That's life.

The predator performance tunes suck ass. Its lean most likely. I sure hope you arent running that Diablo tune with the nitrous. If you are then your are barrowed time.

We went through everything when my brothers 01 gt was pulling down 270 rwhp on a mustang dyno... with a kenne bell blowing 6psi
turns out the gears (3.73) were not the culprit, his intake, nor exhaust were to blame. Kenne bell offers a tune using the SCT chips with their tune already on the chip. Basically the is a rich rich rich superconservative tune. Its hit or miss wether or not it works well with your car, but 270hp was pathetic for a KB, even the non-intercooled breed. Went back to chris at XXtuning and he got it back on the dyno and re-tuned it... car put down 360+rwhp... something like 410 at the fly... my brother does have a/f gauges in the car and they always slammed into the red as soon as he touched the gas... fricken KB tunes... cost him 300 to get it retuned and new dyno runs...

dude starthing this thread is stupid, YOU KNOW THAT DYNO IS OFF. That dyno is owned by stupid kids who dont know how to use it, when Asniel took his cobra the guy was like "check this out i can make it say you have 1000HP".

Asniel took his cobra there and they told him he was at 320RWHP, and then he went to luhan's who has a real dyno and knows how to use it and he got 375RWP and thats that he only has an exhaust. And you pull on asniel so you should easily be at about 370-400RWHP.

Thread Closed.

Don't get caught up in the Dyno numbers. Take it to a track and see what you run. That's the only true test.
