Default Went to the track. What do you think??

This was my fourth trip to the track. My best run was:
Reaction 0.567
60 FT 2.074
330 FT 5.867
1/8 ET 8.977
1/8 MPH 79.42
1/4 ET 13.908
1/4 MPH 100.25

I'm on street tires and a 93 octane mail order tune. I'm thinking it's very conservative and of course generic. With that 60' I was expecting 13.8_ . I got close but no cigar. I didn't have any other modifications done from my last best of 13.98. I took the anti-sway bar off as usual and rolled it off the line. I get better 60' times launching like that. I'm shifting at 5500-5600 and that seems to be the best rpm for my car. Launching and shift points were my only two concerns since I had done nothing else to my car yet. What do you guys think about my e.t. compared to my 60' time?

i guess that's ok, but i would think that with the 3.73's you'd be alittle quicker. With everything in my sig, full weight/street trim, I ran a best of 13.97 @ 100.56 with a 2.01 60' on 255/40/17 KDW II's. A few of my 14 second passes I had 101mph so I think I could get into the 13.80's. I still have the stock 3.27's. You should be able to do a 13.80, even get into the 13.70's.

times are good for street tires. Add some powershifting in there at those 5,500rpm shift points which are good for stock cammed, heads 2v's annd you will drop 1-2 tenths.

I think the 3.73s are the reason I'm not running 100 mph + runs more than I do. I'm getting down the track faster but the gear isn't let my top speed get up there. It really doesn't matter to me as long as the e.t. is down. With everything in your sig BLOWNSTANG I would expect 13.7s at a minimum. If I had your mods and my gears I would be dissappointed with anything less.
I need to practice powershifting before I try it at the strip. Plus, I have to drive this sled around everyday so I don't feel like replacing the clutch..again. I'll probably go back to the track in a couple weeks and I should be able to get one run into the 13.8s. I've improved my times everytime I go. Practice is what helps at the strip.

oh ya, with 3.73's i would hope my car would be in the 13.60 - 13.70 range. I'm doing 4.10's at the end of August and some MM lower control arms. I'm gonna try to manage 13.50's on my street tires. With drag radials 13.30's - 13.40's.
