2 good kills last night..
last night me and a couple of buddys of mine were chillen in wendys parkin lot and some kids in rice buckets pull up ( evo, rsx type s, and 95 civic ex w/
h22a vtec swap i think thats a prelude engine) of course they start talkin **** that they can beat anything out there, the evo was pretty sick tho had alot of motor work dun and bigger turbo, but anyway i raced the type s all it had was exhaust, headers, cai and tune. when we first pulled up to each other he pulled up over me by 1 car length i think vtec kicks in at 5k i dont no but anyway yea when i shift to 2nd n 3rd i pulled on him by 3 lengths so yea the the type s was done, then the civic pulls next to me that car was a joke, sounded like complete **** but yea i had him by at least 4 car lengths

Nice kills, but if the RSX had a tune (Hondata) he would have beat you from a roll no doubt. If the EG coupe civic actually had a h22a in it, yes it is indeed the prelude engine then he should of beat you also from a roll. Those cars arent a joke from a roll, dead stop they are toast. What mods do you have?

Regular Vtec is more like haveing an aggressive cam when you need it, and as conservative cam for everyday driving... us mustangs have to pick one or the other lol
My Buick Rendezvous has Variable timing... and so do the 05+'s?

that's what i was thinking, though when they pull up on you at a light and want to race you, then your thinking "what the hell, does he not know...i'll have to school him...." but they never learn, haha.
here's some info, i read it for about a second and thought screw it, i'll just post it.

ok guys, Vtec works off of oil pressure!!!! It's got a 12volt supply to it which activated the soleniod. The only way it will activate is by the oil pressure..ie: low oil your vtec will not work, also if the car isnt warmed up it will not work. The new k20's are a iVtec...which is the same as regualr vtec.
BTW a stock K20 will not hold 30psi unless its built. It doesnt matter how good of tune it is on. What turbo kit was it?
