Crappy times?
I raced down the 1320 for the 1st time last year. I got in 35 to 40 passes total. When my car was stock I ran a blistering best of 15.3xx at 90mph. I installed a KB and ran a best of 13.1xx at 108mph, still on stock tires. Keep in mind I race at Bandimere speedway in Colorado. I just bought some BFG DR's for this year. All last year my 60' times were 2.0 to 2.2. What should I be at time and mph wise? Any suggestions would be great. Also, I have stock axles and 3.73 gears. Does the axles stand up to very much abuse?

I think altitude has alot to do with it. I dyno'd at 426hp/444tq to the wheels corrected. There is a guy that I race with that has a killer cobra putting down over 700hp and he is running 11's.

well if you are runnign those dr's on a 17 or 18' rim i wouldnt worry to much because there isnt wnough sidewall for them to hook really hard like a 16" or 15" rim would. I have many many passes on nittos on a 125shot out of the hole on my car over a years worth and i drive hard.

whAT a stock 99-04 GT running 15's??? GT's run 14 flat all day long. A KB GT should run lower 12's or high 11's. Not 13's......
There is either a driver problem or something is wrong with the car. Even at high altitude you can still pull a 9.10- 9.20 in the 1/8th mile at the high altitude track I go to.
Also your trap numbers are not what they should be which means theres something "not right" about your car. 420 whp GT can trap 116mph easy. I trapped 108mph with just a ZEX 75 Shot!

Altitude plays a big role but 420 rwhp going 13's and 108?
As far as the stock rear goes it will not hold up to that kind of power very long.
If you hook it's cooked! I would upgrade the axles at the least. If you have the money I would weld the torque boxes and axels tubes while I was at it.
An afternarket rear end would be a good idea also, just don't go with a Eaton they will not hold up and they do not replace them if you race them.

Theres also a Kenne Bell Cobra Timeslip on that site showing 116mph. LMAO.
Come on a Kenne Bell Cobra is gonna put down AT LEAST 550whp. Somewhere he lost about 100whp during that 1/4 mile run.......
High altitude isnt gonna take away a full second in the 1/4 mile.....

I ran my car when I went to Vegas last summer too and my mph was 112 to 113 on my best times. Altitude kills. Bandi is at about 6500 ft. I would love to see your car run here. You would be pissed at the times. Oh....and all my runs were on the stock wheels and tires.

I can see the 13.'s on stock tires. I have seen 03 Cobra's run 14's here at 413' due to lack of traction. I had no idea that your trap speed would drop off so much. You are making some serious power with the KB, we need to have you use my slicks and run at sea level. You'd go 11's and trap 115+.

JEREDAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dude, when in places that are a few thousand feet above sea level, air thins out. When air thins out, the engines have less air to breath, regardless of s/c.
When the engine has less air to breathe, it cant perform as well. That's why when you see drag racing competitions, theyre almost always in the southeast where it's flat. Colorado has either the highest or one of the highest elevations from sea level of the entire country. IT's no surprise that slappy and springs(badfish) havent gone to the track, because theyd still run 14's with all their mods.
Now if he brought his car to sunny florida, he'd be in the 12's easily, possibly 11's
