I dunno, i got a buddy who is a crane mechanic, he does most of his own work on his cars and he has a lift, so maybe ill see if he knows how to do it. i wouldnt mind saving the cash, but i wouldnt do this on my own. <grin>

MattJ 10-15-2005 05:02 PM

Do you know the tolerances with the shims?

If you dont even know that, dont even TRY to get em done. Save it for someone who knows how to do it.

If you live near, on a military post, you could use their Craft shop. Ft bragg/Pope AFB and Hood all have awesome shops with lifts, Tools out the yin-yang, and Machinists. My bro said they have the same thing on marine posts. Does your post have these facilities?
