I want to buy some rims (DD black or antracite bullits) but i have some questions, about the diference between 18" and 17". We all know that the 18's win on price, weight (28 lbs more) and looks, but what about performance?, i mean handling and traction, more tire more traction?, or depends on the tires (brand, kind)? also i have a 2kgt vert silver (black top obviously) wich one would look better black or antracite (pics please)? and lastly wich is the best conbination of tires for the 18" and 17"
Please guys i need some help to decide and also i hope the replies in this thread help anybody with the same doubts...

 

the DD's on mustangtuning.com are 17x10.5, or 18x10. im not sure how much of a difference that half inch would make on the wider tire,but it might matter some. also, the 17s are smaller, obviously, so less rotational mass? means its easier to spin.. also are cheaper. personally, i think ill be getting just the 17x10.5's soon, for the back, in antracite, that way it will match my stock front rims. eventually ill probably get some 18inch black dd's for the front and back, but thats down the road. hope this helped a little!

 

oh, and i have a silver 02 gt. i like the look of black on the silver, and the black rims will go with ur black top. the reason ill be goin with antracite is cuz ill just have to buy 2, and then they will match... basically itll save me $$. id prefer black though
