Thumbs down Thanks AM!

Apparently they have let our discount code expire. MB really has become the red-headed step-child of AM.

Lol they hate us. You would think a company that large would at least keep up with their forums.

MB stopped being associated with AM once it changed from Mustang Tuning.

They might still pay to be a sponsor, but this isn't their forums anymore. They sold the forum to some company, but they pretty much just forget about us. Nobody really runs this place anymore.

I know, but it seems like they would at least do what they could to keep us all as customers. I can say that I don't plan on purchasing anything else unless I absolutely have to until they revive our code or re-issue a new one.

Kevin, where did you get your headlights? I had a set from AM and they were terrible.

I had a set from AM and sealed the living **** out of them. They got rained on ONE time, ONE TIME and they condensated and the reflective chrome inside peeled and cracked off. I personally think the ones on eBay look like they are higher quality because they don't have the screwed in door thing in the back like the AM ones do.

i sealed mine like a kindergartner who just realized how to squirt out glue. i, knock on wood, haven't had any problems with condensation. i'm too much of a pansy-*** to do any dealing on ebay.

I've had my dark smoked headlights from AM for a little over a year now, and they are starting to fade, or look old I guess... not sure how to describe it? Only noticable close up.

I really don't have a big problem with AM, since I don't really buy from them anymore. Probably getting new wheels in the next year or so, but not ordering from them. Don't want stack racing wheels.

I may buy the raxiom smoked taillights from them though... are they a good AM product?

(I've never sealed my headlights, and havent had any condensation in them. Just kinda been lucky I guess)

I've been thoroughly impressed with the Raxiom tails, they look great and haven't had any problems out of them. Just wish they could do something to make a true OE style smoked headlight with clear corners.

I bought clear corner headlamps from AM in 2007. Put them in the oven for 10 mins and then put some black rtv around the seams.

The only problem I have with them right now is a small part of the clear coat is flaking. Maybe the newer stuff is a little on the low quality side.

Have you guys tried to call AM and ask for the forum discount? I know its a PITA to call but that may be the only way to get the new code.

I emailed them several days ago and I haven't heard anything yet. My AM smoked headlights are around 2 1/2 years old and they are flaking pretty badly.

They do it for several other forums, (v6 mustangs, modded mustangs and svtp I think to name a few) but not the one that they "used to own." I really don't get it, there are a LOT of loyal customers on this forum and it was linked from their website up until a few months ago so not supporting the forum just makes no sense at all to me.

I E-Mailed them on here, no response, but doesn't bother me that much. This forum just flat out sucks now, boring and don't get that much help like you used too. I don't even come on here anymore.

They're still active on other forums though.

I have some other ones from the other forums, but I like the one for this one better.
I'm just not active on this forum, that's all.

I only use AM for little stuff now... like the 8" antennas and license plate frames.

For anything else I check:
-ebay
-latemodelrestoration.com
-v6mustangstuff.com

I was so pumped when I saw that AM was carrying the GT rear bumper covers, back when they got them a few years ago... but then I found out that they were aftermarket and had "MUSTANG" shaved off, I was pissed. They have a TON of stuff... but nothing really usefull to me anymore.

Evan, I got mine from AM in June 2008. They have been fine, but the clear-coat on the passenger side light has just started to peel off. Florida sun ftw.

I have been loyal to AM, even if their price happened to be a little more. The free shipping usually helped to even things out a little and the 6% "could" even make it a tiny bit less expensive from time to time.

I've posted on their Facebook wall again, if I get no response from them (again) then I'll take my business to someone who can actually take care of their customers like Lethal Performance or Summit.

I only buy from them if its brand name and they have the Manufacturer number, to save on shipping. Everything else doesn't last.

Hey guys,

Sorry that I did not catch this sooner. I was away last week. I wanted to respond 2 Fridays ago, but my account was awaiting activation for a few days and by that time I was out of the country.

The discount code was deleted because it leaked out. It was picked up by coupon feeds and it was being abused. A simple google search will show you a few places it landed: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=mustangboards2454

There is a new code, and if you PM me, I will reply back with in within 48 hours.
