Sell Head Swap!!!
http://www.parkwayperformance.com/2vheadswap.asp
Please carry something like this, I know 96-98 guys would buy this up in a heart beat. I would def buy a kit, and Id like to purchase it from you guys. |
that's a crappy deal on that. You need to buy exactly:
1 4.6 cylinder head changing kit (about 120 bones) 1 set of PI heads (can be had for <200 bucks all day long) 1 PI intake manifold (100 bucks on ebay for a new one) IMO there's no need to put the kit together and charge more for it when it's damned near free as it sits. AM doesn't stand to make much on such a thing. Most turd drivers just go out and piece a kit together for <600 bucks. |
So something like this for the intake manifold??
http://www.americanmuscle.com/intake-manifold.html (like $185 to the door) I'm all new to this, this is my first 96-98 gt and i really have no idea whats going on |
yep... but why you'd pay 200 bucks for it I don't know.
|
I would go to a junk yard. find a wrecked 99-04 GT and buy the PI heads off it. Get them cleaned up and ported, and I would throw a nice set of comp cams while your at it, or just get some pi cams.
|
lol, 1400 for that set? bullshit, they are ripping people off seriously hard. for just 600 bucks more, you can get the earthshaking power out of the Trickflow 2 valve heads that they made for the SN95 cars.
|
that's just the heads and doesn't include cams or an intake or any of the gaskets. Good cams are 4-700, PI cams are free, intake is 50-125, gaskets are 150.
I like white's suggestion. Very cost effective and you have all the parts and sensors already. |
Yeah, that is an awful amount of money just to get the performance of a stock 99-04. I would go with the junk yard suggestions for a lot less or get some good aftermarket heads.
|
not to keep bringing this back up but what about....

You want them to sell that kit or your looking at buying it?
|
Do you NEED to spend more than you have to? Try MPS for the intake and HPS for the adapter plates (which you don't really need).
