Default How to use Tuner

guys i just brought Black 05 Mustang GT, and would like to do some mod after breakin. This is my first Mustang. Last time I had a sport car was about 15 years ago. The first time I drove 05 Mustang GT, man it like having SEX when I was 18yr old. I can't get off the car.

It seem that if you want to mod your car you got to have a tuner, so can any body shed some light on these tuner, which is good for 05 Mustang GT, an user friendly.

Thanks,

Stick with either a Diablo or the SCT. The best one would be the XCalibrator from SCT in my opinion. C&L and Diablo have a nice CAI and tuner combo package. The tuner is setup for the new intake. Independant dyno results are pretty promising. Expect about 25 rwhp from the two together. Package is about $700. Or, just start with the tuner and go from there.

And for Pete's sake, get a dam exhaust for that car. Ford really did not do the car justice when it comes to making the exhaust sound good, BUT they made the '05's easy as zhit to modify. So that's a plus.

SCT Xcalibrator 2 is great !

shorty headers offer minimal gains because they are still a lot like the stock manifolds. Long tube headers would offer the most gains, but are also more expensive, install is a lot harder, and I'm not sure if there's a lot of LT headers avabilable for the 05 style yet.

It is all in the tune. Any SCT tuner with experience with SC's can do this. The device is certainly capable of doing what you need.
