When will AM get RP 10w40?

Default When will AM get RP 10w40?

AM only has 5w20, 5w30 and only 10w30 motor oil or racing oil. Im asking when will AM have the Royal Purple 10w40 Motor Oil cuz i wouldnt mind buying it from AM but now it seems like im going to have to buy it from sumone else and i dont want to do that cuz ive always bought my stuff from AM

I'm pretty sure they still sell it at auto zone, but you're just wasting your money either way. (See your oil thread.)

^^^^well RP lastest 12,000 miles and Regular oil last 3,000 and they do sell it at autozone but ive seen only the 5w30 and 10w30

so which one is better?

i will be saving money not wasting money

have a slight leak coming from my lower intake manifold gaskets, i bought the gaskets awhile back to replace them but i havent put them in yet im too lazy right now, lol

so i use the castrol GTX 10w40 my past oil change and the leak stoped

With the amount of miles you have on your engine?? Your pushing it a little there.. Maybe, MAYBE, 6000mi. It specifically says 12,000 miles with regular (3-5000mi) filter changes in a "clean" engine ie: no broken gaskets etc.

Mobil Clean 5000 for you, and I bet you'll save money. You could run Mobil 5000 longer too if you wanted to change the filter every 3,000 miles like RP says to do.

i doubt if oil weight had anything to-do wth stopping an oil leak and using a thicker/heaver oil reduces HP and can actually lead to scuffing of engine parts, which equals more wear, loss of HP and a decrerase in fuel mileage.....

I think everyone pretty much already covered everything...but yeah we will probably never carry it since its not the best idea to be running that weight oil in the year Mustangs we cater to.
