C-Pillars came in
my c-pillars finally came in and i have to say im extremely upset with them. the quality is that of a cracker jack box toy, the fit is WAYYYYYY off so i had to cut chunks off with a dremel, and the scoops didnt even come installed im going to have to drill holes into the damn thing to put the scoops on the pillar. i feel almost sick to my stomach when i think i waited close to 7 weeks for this and paid 400 bucks for this piece of crap. makes me second think every buying anything else for my mustang online again......

Make sure you let them cure. If you dont your going to screw them up completely.
Each one of those is custom done by Jay. Hell he let us use his space to advertise and sell at Carlisle today. Ive seen the C-Pillar panels because he brought a few with him. I think he cuts them large so you can custom fit them to the car. As for the scoops, dunno about whether they come installed or not. I didnt have time to ask Jay (He was too busy w/ his Targa Topped '05 and the Turbo Side Scoop Mod for the 94-04's)

dom - I THINK YOUR CRAZY!! I've had Jay's scoops on my car for over a year now and I haven't had one person say they don't care for them. The mustang show I went to last year, I had about 20 people aske me where I got them because they wanted them too. You must not have seen them up close and personal.
Tony - My scoops weren't the best when I got them either. When you have someone paint them, don't be surprised if their are air bubbles in the fiberglass. I'm know Jay has upgraded his stuff since I bought mine, but mine took alot of body work. BUT, I wouldn't give them up for anything! :headbang:

Tony - I'm sure your car will be even more noticable with the scoops!! Trust me when I say that you will love them once they are painted and on the car. Send me a pic when you have them painted and on. I love seeing Stangs with the scoops!
Sorry - Didn't know the picture I posted would be so darn BIG

Matt - I really don't remember what I paid to have them painted the first time. I was crazy enough to take them to Maaco the first time and they did a really lousy job. They used bondo on the scoops, so after a couple of months, all the bondo started to lift. I just had my new hood put on and had the scoops redone at the same time. I paid $250 to have them redone. It may have been cheaper if they didn't have to take all the bondo and stuff off and basically refiberglass the thing. The scoops look GREAT now.
I'm sure that the quality of Jay's work is getting better as his business grows and is able to get better equipment. I would gladly recomend his scoops!!

forget everything good ive ever said about these pillars, I ABSOLUTELY HATE THEM NOW. i was doing about 130 on the highway today(which is kinda normal for me now) and i heard flapping from the side, i pulled over and one of the corner screws that holds the scoop on RIPPED off completely and is nowhere to be found. now the scoop is only being held in place by 3 screws and the corner of the scoop is greatly elevated because nothing is holding it, and it flaps in the wind. i hate JMS i hate these scoops i hate everything about it. 400 fuqin dollars down the goddamn drain.
