Default Saleen Body Kit

I want to order the saleen body kit on here, and I have a kid who says he will put it on for me for 100 dollars he is doing this as a side job he works at a body shop. Now I need to know how this saleen body kit fits. If I bring it to a shop will I need to get it sanded primed and painted or is it sanded and primed already? And can I have the kit painted and then put it on right after? Or do I need to have it prefitted first?

Default Saleeb Kit

This post is replied to Trickedoutstang. On that Saleen Body kit you will need it pre-fitted before installing it. All body parts should be fitted and installed on the car before any work is done. Then you will have to prep each piece. On my car I have a Saleen front bumber and a Mach 2 hood and Cervinis stalker bumber. All of these parts are fiberglass and needed to be sanded and then the fiberglass pin holes and low spots had to be filled and preped and primed. On my side scoops and rear bumber from Cervinis stalker kit is all ureathan and only needed minor preping and fitting. No matter your type of part fiber glass or ureathan it will all need to be fitted and then preped. Also about that side job for a 100 dollars, I don't know how well you know him and such but sounds a little too good. I thought I got a good deal with my buddy for 1,500 all fitted and preped and painted. I don't know all of your conditions though. Well thats just my view on that good luck hope it turns out great.

-P.S. on that front bumber or rear bumber if it's fiber glass it will be a little weak see about making a support for it with some light weight metal. They don't always fit perfect. Mine took over 4 hours of preping and fitting on it.

Just make sure that MT's is a urethane kit. Fiberglass will crack very easily if a rock hit you or something.
