Question Venom V500 Recluse Nitrous Kit

Ok, so I am looking to get one last performance item for my car before I go to the track but $300.00 was supposed to be my limit but I think I really want this kit. I don't know anything about nitrous but this kit looks really easy to use, and safe. So I need some advice and information on this Recluse kit: http://www.mustangtuning.com/vev5renikit.html

And about how much should a shop charge to install this, or is it easy enough to install by myself?

That's a loaded question...hard to say as all shops are different.

But, generally $300 - $400 is what I have heard them charge. This system might be less.

Do not take this the wrong way, but if you can't install your own nitrous setup, then don't use it. Why? Because before you spray you need to educate yourself about nitrous as much as possible and they best way to learn is to install your own kit.

The Recluse is a bit unusual as it requires tapping into ECU wires. This si a scary thing for someone who has nto done this.

I was quoted 600, but if i was you get the 1000, much easier to install and you get a 10lb bottle rather than 10oz bottle

Thumbs up Go For It

^^I Agree. Go with the 1000 and use the 100 shot. You are not going to notice a big difference using such low shots, unless they are dual stage or ect. If you are worried about blowing your engine too, don't. Nitrous is just a gas, its not going to stay in your engine and cause residue and all that. You will do the same thing to the engine if you took it out and drove the **** out of your car.

Tip: Buy it used + fuel pump and your set.

Estimated Install price cost $475 for me. But I also had a purge kit installed too.
