Default X or H?

My '94 GT is in need of an X or H pipe due to quiet exhaust tone. What is the difference as far as sound in the X and H pipe? Not to worried about power. Thanks.

x is more a higher pitch and a little more power when h has a much deeper tone to it. My friend has a bassani catted x pipe with bassani catback (not sure which 1 it is) but it sounds soooo damn good

I recently went from the stock h-pipe to a Bassani catted x-pipe. I was kind of disappointed in the sound. It's "different" but not much louder. I have Flows and the x made the sound just a little raspier.

well to be the loudest you would obviously get O/R, but with some precautions. It can sound like crap, if your catback is straigh thru, such as a LM1. I'm not to fond of a O/R x with a SLP LM1 catback.

Also IMO there's not enough H-pipes out there anymore, lol.

H-pipe gives more torqe and x-pipes gives more hp up top difference between the two is very very small 2-3 tourqe a bit more.

As for sounds like they said hpie give s deep rumble x-pipe gives it the raspy loudness. want it the way it sounds now but louder, then you want an off-road h-pipe.
