Need help: TB and EGR Spacer (BBK)
My friend had to replace his upper and lower intake manifold on his 1990 5.0. I helped him put everything back together but the BBK TB would not fir back up to the Edelbrock manifold. So I did some research and found that he needed the EGR Spacer to make it work. We picked that up at a shop and now we're stuck. I don't know much about 5.0s and he is not a car guy.
My questions is what in the HELL plugs into the back of the EGR Spacer? Is is something you have to buy? I am totally stumped.
This is not the car but an example.

That is the EGR valve and yes, legally it should be there. In fact it should have been on the car before you guys started the project. There is the possibility that it had been removed prior to your buddy getting it. It hooks to a tube that goes under the car and into the exhaust. It is there for emissions (it Recirculates Exhaust Gasses into your intake charge under certain conditions to let them burn again). Ususally without it plugged in you get a CEL? You can fab a block off plate with a simple piece of 1/4" flat steel with 2 holes drilled in and some RTV or you can buy/make a gasket. You don't want it to leak air into the intake charge.
