Specifically it's 8.5:1 The 95 Cobra had 8:1

That's funny. According to my spec sheet the Cobra has a 9:1 CR and was required to use premium fuel not less than 91 octane. How could the GT be required to use 87 octane and the Cobra 91 but according to your response the GT's compression is higher than the Cobra? Did you mean to say that the Cobra is 9:1.
