Default 94 5.0 runs rough

i recently bought a 94 5.0 5speed, the car ran great when i bought it but know its running rough, it has a check engine light that comes on and off when it goes off the car runs just fine, it dies when you put load on the engine i.e. turning the wheel to load power steering. a few thing i tried was replacing the exhaust because the tips were smashed the clamps were loose and header bolts missing, someone referred me to the TPS but i checked that and it was fine running at .97 volts closed and 4.96 volts wide open, one thing i did notice was the MAF is not the stock one it actually out of a 4.6, dont know if thats the reason its running rough though, any ideas on this one?

most tunes are tuned through the MAF. So if he changed the MAF and not the tune, the tune is compremised.

I dont know if a 4.6 MAF will work with a 5.0 94 model or not without a tune.

or just get a tune for the new one if it didnt have one already.

our 5.0 has a gt40p motor with shorties/prochamber mid/stage 1 cam/RR's.

are car run's rough as well, just because it has never been fine tuned. the idle spuders up and down sometimes and dies ever blue moon.
