i was told by a friend of mine that i cant put long tube headers on my fox and that i have to go with shortys is this true?

Of course you can put long tubes on a fox. Someone is an idiot they make tons of different brand of long tubes for 79-93 cars.

shorties are alittle easier to install. go look through ebay, hundreds of pairs of longtubes on there. call summit, they'de be glad to sell you a set.
