what year did the 5.0 not have the mass air flow sensor in the air intake between the throttle body and the air filter?? i dont have one thanx

speed density which is what your talking about went up to i belive 87, 88 was the first year of MAfs i belive.

86, 87, and 88 were speed density. 88 california cars were mass air.

ClemsonStang is correct. 1988 Calif cars and all 1989 and up Mustangs were mass air.
