Default Defrost Stuck

My Heating and A/C is stuck on defrost. The blower works fine and the A/C works fine but the air isn't coming through the vents. What could be the problem and will it be an expensive repair. Help...

my car did the same... never figured out what the problem was...

I think it was the heater switch unit itself... never got a chance to replace it before the wreck...

I checked all the wires, connections and fuses and they were all ok...

so check that and if it yeilds no results then get new ****/switches

Default Thanks

Thanks for the response, I check the fuses and wiring and vacuum tubes; all were in good shape. I was thinking of replacing the switch but it seems it works because it still turns on the A/C.

idk...

mine was wierd as hell

the fans worked 50% of the time... sometimes they would get stuck on a slow speed or not come on at all...

also... the fans would only blow out the dash... no matter what setting...

So

sometimes I could control the speed
but if that particular day it decided to work it'd blow out the dash

I think you have the same problem... I bet its the switch... I took my entire dash out and checked wires... had to be the switch inside..

I'm going to try replacing the switch, we'll see how it goes.
