i did the math for it and the speedo was reading about 4k miles higher than it was supposed to.

so now my odometer says 92,xxx miles when it should really read 88,xxx miles.

time to get hammered!

I'm going to try and not sound like ***** when I say this buy you guys really need to go do some real racing...

Find a track day event and go to it. If you think drag racing is fun, you have NO idea... No idea...

Honestly, this post isn't to step on anyone's toes. Just YOU NEED TO GET TO A TRACK DAY! You don't know what you're missing. You'll never want to run a 1/4 ever again.

This is me at Sebring in my '03 Mach 1

ummm not to step on your toes but i ran my cars at auto-x's and track events here in germany. i boiled the brakes 3 times on my stang and cooked the tranny fluid 3 times each time i tracked the damn thing on hockemheim ring. my subaru even though has less power has went .5 to 2 seconds faster than my mustang...so go back in your corner one upper. trust me i have down it all so far in my life the only thing i havent obtained is a ride in a car that has surpassed 200+ MPH. what i really want is to take a ride with a pro driver around the nuringburg ring.

all i do here is share some of my knowledge or experience. i dont know what your post did but really i dont think it helped this guy out on the track....i dont care if you think drag racing isnt a skill sport....track racing isnt either think about it "slow in fast out" basice principle. if your tires are squealing than you are going to fast adjust suspension or get better rubber.

i feel drag racing is more fun less variables and easier to figure out over a track car. i get frustrated over auto-x events.

To each his own, you should stick to drag racing.

All I was saying was how fun track racing is, settle down.

P.S. Again, not to speak out of line but for the sake of our eyes, please use some punctuation.

this is a forum...that punctuation **** is for the birds. you get my point. GTFO english professor

i'm competitive. so, naturally i hate losing. thats why i stick to drag racing when im driving my stupid mustang. when it comes to the subie its a different story that little SOB will make some turns and cut some good times. i am comparing these times to cars that are on coil-overs and on better rubber.

Why did you just call your mustang stupid?... Mustangs are excellent cars for their price tag. You can't go faster for less.

Every step I made up the mustang ladder was so damn fun. First I had my black, brand new 2004 V6 with 2 miles on it. Then I entered the V8 world with my BULLITT (amazing car by the way). Then I entered the 4 valve world with my '03 Torch Red Mach 1 until finally hitting the top of mustang line up with my '03 Cobra.

I'd still own my mustangs if they just made them right. That Cobra IRS Just needs soooo much work to be in contention at the track. Ironically, nobody wants a mustang with IRS so what's the point. I was forced to buy a chevy and I'm still a little upset about that lol.

My Z06 is faster on street tires than my cobra ever was on slicks. Not to mention after a few laps and the supercharger gets too hot, the cobra motor is about as limp as a noodle lol. Yeah, yeah, yeah I know you can cure it with a whipple but we threwa whipple on my friend mystichrome and every event it'd boil his coolant so believe me, I've done my research lol.

i call it stupid because im always breaking something on it! i ran 12.7 at 1500 elevation on a unprepped track. i swear it was like racing from a stop light on the street thats how slick it was. i know i cant track race the mustang because of heat soak...thats why i dont track race the car anymore because everytime i took it out i cooked the tranny fluid and boilled the brakes. when i get back to the states i will get something special for the track events. i dont like doing long tracks so its going to be a Auto-X car and all i seen that have been appealing to me are STi's and those are in my price range. now that i think about it maybe i could afford to keep a c5 Z06 around.

FYI i just got home from trivia night at my local bar so i will say i am a little inebriated, LOL. i got PT in 4 hours
