Yeah I dig it too.... but I dont wanna see one at a light myself LOL. While the car looks cool im still not TOTALLY sold on the styling, the grill and head lights look mean! And lastly the only reason I will never own one is cuz of that steep arse 40k BASE price.
But I wonder..... will it be offered in the SRT10 package?

well the reason i want to see it at a light is cause while i do think it looks and sounds amazin...i'm not really blown away by that burnout...it makes me think i'd probably smoke it as easily as the charger...i love the car's style but this video kinda makes it LOOK heavy...

My plan is to make the first contribution to my white Vanishing Point edition Challenger fund by the fall of this year. If Dodge is serious about keeping the Challenger in its lineup, the Vanishing Point ed. should be available in 2011 (40th Ann. of the movie). Whether my plan is consistent with the wife's is unkown at this time.

I've been lookin at the 0-60 times this car is supposed to be capable of and I'm getting low 5's or high 4's one said 4.5 but that seemed overly optimistic. For 40K Mustang still wins in Bang for Buck cause a 05+ with some sticky tires or basic boltons will beat this thing no problem and still cost thousands less. And i'm sorry but to me it looks fat, lazy and a little boring so in my opinion nice try dodge but you fail better luck next time. I bet that they will throw the v10 viper motor in it to make it faster cause that's what dodge does, they build vehicles and then they put v10s in them I mean hell they put it on a motorcycle.

I've read that the new Challenger is over a ton heavier than the original.
Anyone seen the chase scene in the movie "Bullitt" between the '68 'stang and the Dodge Charger? It's obvious in that scene that the 'stang was quicker and nimbler in corners. It seemed to really "stick" in turns while the Charger seemed to be on the verge of spinning out of control. Nevertheless, if Dodge comes out with a white Challenger, I don't think I'll be able to resist. |
