1997 Cobra with a built 99 cobra motor I think,,,,Venom is that LT's, o/r mid anf the powerflos? I like:salook:

venom 04-25-2007 06:10 AM

I just fixed the video so now you can see what you are hearing. Its a 98 Gt with a 98 built 4v, LT headers, catted xpipe and slp Powerflow catback, swapped out my LM1s. I am going to another shop to make some repairs and possible add something else which Ill let you guys know when it happens. I will be switching to an Hpipe as my current setup hangs too low. The most important thing to note is that the popping that the LM1s have in the upper rpms is gone. I went in my brothers stroked 4.6 he has LM1s and just driving 15mins I felt like I had a headache from the noise.

I am really surprised how loud it is as I can not tell from the inside. I can carry a converstaion or listen to the radio at low volume. Im extremely happy and hope that with the hpipe it will make it even deeper.

BluDvl 04-25-2007 07:38 AM

Damn that set-up sounds great. What kind of work do you have done to your motor?

venom 04-25-2007 11:05 AM

Its more like what dont I have LOL. Im going to take some pics today of the motor as its going to change within a few weeks. Motor is built with forged internals and dished pistons.

Cheddarbob 04-25-2007 04:12 PM

caballo 06-26-2007 07:21 PM

Venom...

At risk of looking foolish, cause you may have already stated this... is that a full SLP exhaust with Powerflo Mufflers? or do you have a different brand of headers/midpipe?

venom 06-26-2007 07:41 PM

I have Hooker LT Headers, bassani catted frankinstein midpipe(my bassani midpipe was modified and its really bad) and SLP powerflo cat back. I have found my choices in ceramic coated headers to be very limited so looks like my new setup will be Bassani midlength hearders and Bassani offroad xpipe and retaining the SLPs catback.

foncarelli 06-26-2007 09:59 PM

sounds good.

Cheddarbob 06-26-2007 10:28 PM

cant wait to hear the new note

WaterDR 06-26-2007 10:57 PM

Venom, if the "loudness" with the LM-1 was a 10, what would you say it is with the Powerflos? I wish I could hear it in person.

4/5 very quiet...im uploading a vid rite now of my buddies setup...LT's+O/R X+PowerFlos

*edit* heres the vid
the maroon one is the one with the LongTubes+O/R X+SLP PowerFlo Catback, you can only hear it during the burnout and like a couple of seconds after he takes off, my buddies true blue GT drowns out the maroon gt's exhaust with his setup which is LongTubes+O/R X+Borla Stingers.

You can just drive down here, lol. I would say LM1=10,LM2=8,powerflo=6. If you want to lower the volume in the inside go with the powerflo. My brother just switched to powerflos and he likes them as its quiet inside the cabin but wished they were a bit louder since he has the stock midpipe he may get an offroad H or x. I ll try to get a vid of his stang and post it up.

If you have LTs and changed out the midpipe the powerflos will sound louder but the interior will still be quiet compared with other setups. Take a listen to the sound clips here http://www.slponline.com/sound.asp not mustangs but you can see how quiet the interior is.
