there pretty damn quick! I look for the modded 05's to be able to keep up with slightly modded 99-04's. The Shaker 500 stereo that I heard rocked...big time! Pretty nice ride.

yeah, the Shaker 500 system just bumps up the sound a bit from our Mach 460's
Stock for stock i assume the new sixers are faster, i dont know if they weigh enough more to make up for the performance difference, anyone know? But yeah, our sixers might not be super cars but were faster than ricers and grocery getters! lol

The car that I rode in would have made my 98gt cringe when it was stock. They have a pile of power..pretty amazing actually.

2 people in my school just got the new '05 mustang, but both of them are V6. It would be so tight if someone got a V8 one. They look nice but if I was gonna pay money for it I would spend a little more for that V8 engine. One's black and the other is silver.

I had to test drive the new '05 and it was a V6 model, the GT's are on a waiting list here in Dallas. I was impressed with the power of the new V6 model and i actually heard some rumble under the hood. I was alittle turned off by the new interior though and for some reason, it just didn't feel right. Maybe it's just me, but overall power in the V6 had me somewhat shocked.

Your not the only one disappointed with the interior. I think the interior sucks. To me its worktruck grade. But I guess they had to cut corners somewhere to keep cost down. I wish they would have built the concept car as the production car.

I would love to see a car manufactor with the guts to bring back a cool retro body and update it with modern drivetrain that can meet emissions and install modern gas charged suspensions and radial tires and what ever safety equipt necessary to meet modern safety standards. I realize it's a big gamble and expensive tooling but I dont't believe the car companys care what the people want, they just cram cars down are throats and tease us with half retro and half space age. There is no reason the new mustang couldn't of had a retro shifter and seats etc to match the retro gauges.

well, looking at other reincarnations of 'classics' Ford did a bang up job! Looking at the pontiac GTO and now the Dodge Charger... 4 doors? honestly man... lol I will give the GTO some credit on looking good, but it still resembles its brothers way too much (grand prix etc.) and the charger basically a re-tooled magnum (i know they share some features but not all) but both look good atleast...

I agree that the GTO looks like a belly button (everybodys got one) although I like the gauges and the no replacement for displacement 6 litre engine (400 hp) Mopar is sooo stupid not to make the charger a little more sleeker and they should get rid of the dodge ram grill theyre putting on the charger.

I have driven several V-6 05 'stangs at work, and they are fun cars, but I dont think anybody with a V-8 will have to worry about them. The 05 V-6 weights more than my 04 GT. The weight disadvantage will counter any HP gains the 05 has.
